I finished reading Adrian Smiths comic series The Chronicles of Hate, and was inspired to paint this angry barbarian based on the world the comics take place in.
If you can find a copy i reccomend reading it!

This was the original design that I slowly fell out of love with. Sometimes a composition just isnt working and you have to start again.

I've been wanting to draw Liliana from #mtg for a long time now as well as experimenting with depth of field in this style. Originaly I had a lot more details but I decided to rein them in to make the illustration more readable.
