So I commissioned the amazingly talented @MederTaab to draw my girl Bette in her second Flamebird look! She arrived this morning, and I have to say, Meder exceeded all of my expectations. She’s absolutely perfect! 😍🤩🔥🐥

Betty debuted in an April 1961 issue of Batman - #139 to be precise. It was cover dated April, which probably means it was released sometime around February, since there was a two month discrepancy in publishing dates back then.

If by any twist of fate, Bette Kane does end up being part of the Batwoman series, I kind of like the idea of Sabrina Carpenter being cast to portray her. I don't think the pilot she'd shot for NBC back in February has been picked up, and at 19 years old, she's the right age.
