My hopes for @BarryKeoghan 's Stanley Merkel: A "good cop" who was pushed out of the force (fired or threatened) for trying to stop violence/report wrong doing from his fellow officers. This dirty reality of policing in the USA drives Merkel to hate the GCPD and aid the Riddler.

I know a lot of people are gonna find the wingsuit to be silly looking and it will be a bit controversial, but it's a Batman CLASSIC. @mattreevesLA knows his stuff. #TheBatman

I think Stanley Merkel may be a corrupt cop who has been tasked with moving the confiscated drugs. He may even be an undercover cop who's alias is Jervis Tech. As a police officer, no other dealers and gangsters would mess w/ him -that power +drug use could explain him going mad.
