I like to think of the Chainsaw Man anime as the opposite of the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime. See, while Jojo was in general, sparsly animated, it made out with having a distinct visual style that game the show its own personality, a 'soul' if you will.

At least we won't see Kratos be humiliated anymore since the future sequel will definitely have the boy as the new main character. For as natural as Kratos's development felt in the last game, here the sad dad aspect is just comically absurd. It's like going from this to this.

@BabylonianAUO @CharMayCry Indeed. And even if you look at funky stereotypes like this, there doesn't seem to be a malicious intent behind the parody. It's like the Japanese respect America for being so proud of their own culture. Which I guess it's something Japan can relate to in a way.
