Progress update. The pencils are lovely to work with! The 30-year-old paper, not so much. 😄
Sarehole Mill, just down the road from where I went to school, partly inspired The Shire. Birmingham Uni is reflected in Isengard, and the dark land of Mordor is a representation of the polluted, Industrial Revolution-era Black Country. The list goes on. 🧙🏻♂️
The first time I've ever seen #digitalpainting trending! I taught myself to paint in Photoshop 5 about 20 years ago. Back to working on paper these days but still proud of what I accomplished. 😊
This is what Series 1 & 2 looked like. I usually include 2 or 3 in every envelope I post when shipping artwork.
Another pic of the latest @sktchyapp portrait. I often find it tricky to photograph the colours accurately with these colour pencil on toned paper pieces. This is closer to what it looks like in person!
