I'm a pessimist, generally drawn to dark material. Heavy Metal, Dark Gaming, Deep Sci-fi, etc.

Life, & our social media feeds have more than sufficient darkness to poison our minds right now.

Beta Testing Mechwarrior: Destiny lite RPG for @CGL_BattleTech and having a GREAT time with it.

Way better than MW3e or A Time of War, IMO.

Why do people confuse Rules Heavy, or "Hold Your Hand & Do all the work for you" stuff like Life Path mechanics as "Deep" RPGs?

I've been playing RPGs since 1981. Simple. Complex, Convoluted. Not once did a ruleset make a Deep Game experience.
