Here's an unfinished animation of Ash I did almost a year ago, with similar goals in mind. I gave up on this because I didn't feel I had the right level of skills, so I've really come a long way!

When doing the shadows, I made sure to draw everything in blobs and chunks to look like they were done with paint brushes.
