Is it me or does Japanese video games in the distant past have more diversity than the latest JP games ? What changed that has made games less diverse in the current day era ?
No black, brown or dark-skin playables in FF15, FF16, Diofield, Redemption Reapers.
@yokotaro My illustration here shows that in fantasy stories, White people can go to southern continents to meet brown & black POC too
The reverse is true if darker ones immigrate to northern continent in a fantasy-setting, so there are many ways to add diversity

Do Japanese creators consider the feelings of Aztecs wiped out by European Colonizers everytime they make All-White fantasy inspired by Europe without adding dark-skin POC ?
I think it should be balanced by making story of Moorish-like brown race invading Europe-like kingdom.
Japan does make games with Minority Protagonists that are literal minorities in its setting, but only if they're White.
If Japanese game creators can make White Male Protagonist in a Japanese setting, why can't they make Black Male Protagonist in European setting ?
Anyone remember "Stella Deus" ?
A Japanese TRPG with a Black Guy as one of the Antagonists.
If a JP game can have a Black Man as Antagonist character, then why not a new RPG or TRPG with a guy of this level of dark skin become the Protagonist ?
Resident Evil with Black MC?
The skin color in Sumeru is wrong too, bro. Why talk only abt Little Mermaid when the portrayal of skin tones and culture in Genshin is inaccurate too ?
