Both characters have "SS" as their initials, have "Sun" in their name, have a similar coat, as well as the same eyecolor. Ya, I'd say she reminds me a lot of G4 Sunset. Living up to her legacy, Sunny hopes to make Sunset proud.

A few thousand years into the future, our last generation's cast still have everything going for them! Now here's hoping they'll make some form of appearance in the series itself, whether it'd be flashbacks, legends, or full appearances.

Even with her being an Earth pony, this supposed G5 design for Twilight is badass, beautiful, and gives the possible idea that she's the main reason Sunny Starscout exists. A whole new story and journey is exactly what I'd wish for in the series.

Fun fact: Lauren Faust originally designed Pinkie Pie as a pegasus. If the G5 concept art is anything to go by, this must be a case of reusing old ideas in creative ways. Sign me up for that party, coming out in 2 weeks from now!

A little side-step from the G5 series, because I know this is what 98% of you want from me. Have a little break with some Casual, Urban Sunset.

"But, but but, she's supposed to have wings, not a horn, dude!"

Well, it's not like we haven't seen species swaps before. Twilight and Cozy Glow becoming alicorns for instance? I applaud the changes to keep things fresh and new.

You might be wondering why you're seeing AJ again? Well, guess who instantly regretted not initially designing her after the G5 concept designs? Went back to tie up loose ends, but either way, THIS is a true remaster, I'd say.

Honestly, if they ever plan to include the mane six in any way, shape, or form, I hope they use the unique conceptual designs. They're all beautiful and incredibly well made.
