I wonder if this is a deliberate thing or not. I know these are both Fortnite screenshots, but despite what I used to think, the stories of the "Save the World" campaign mode and Battle Royale usually don't cross over. But the spooky hand motif appears in both games.

I feel like a part of me has just been exposed to the open air for the first time and I don't like it

@Danny8bit For real. I remember watching a lot of this -- not because it was good, but because it was basically the only (new) thing on TV like it at the time.

I just think about how Sonic has roots in classic cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, which were pretty much -all- expression. An argument could be made that this is all 2D art, which is fair. But it's not impossible to translate this to 3D.

And for the faux-retro games they make, it's great, but I can't help but imagine how INSANE and INCREDIBLE it would be if they did that for real retro games. Looking through actual issues of Nintendo Power or Gamepro for tips to clear Strider, or something...
