Ran an over-night 2000 samples Cycles render to compare it to an Eevee shot. While I may do some Cycles stills I think it's insane Eevee can do so well almost instantly compared to a 6h render in Cycles.
No settings changed and granted, no optimizing in Cycles but still.
Amazed at what you can smoosh together from a few basic shapes and some kitbash items
Just watched Ad Astra. Pretty good film with some very unique set pieces. Perhaps a tad too obvious with its message at times and the ending fell a bit flat for me but overall, better than a lot of things I've seen recently.
A custom mapping node for breaking up texture repetition with boundary distortion and camera distance offset so the close-up stuff still looks neat and tidy you say?
