Vagabond is something else. It's written and illustrated so incredibly well that even the most outrageous events feel grounded in reality.

The art in Abarat is incredible

Boy, they really took away some good lessons and a lot of bad lessons from the first game. And loads of bad lessons from Dark Souls. While more thought was clearly put into level design, the layout of each zone is an awful maze. The story is also utter nonsense.

Oh my god. I was warned. I really was. And I was a fool and ignored the warnings. This was awful. The first portion was good. Really good. But every time the series threatened to become something I enjoyed, it would shit itself. And then the time skip...
