Everyone in the replies: Knows them as the OCs and the series they are from
Me, an uncultured swine: Yeeeah of course I remember them whaddaya mean
Who I actually thought were drawn: https://t.co/2JLXBziqwK
@DKazenare @SetiSpaghetti Shape of their body is actually why I brought up Salandit in the first place, biologically it's a salamander but it's close enough looking to fit the part, just like the young landshark.
@ChrisBottger Holy shit
Kirbye West
@CubeyCubed @renzniji @TJKhaled2001 @Touyarokii Sure you could argue *some* case that it still resembles a pistol and its components, but compared to the beta design, yeah no, that's a fish that turns into an octopus. I didn't study marine biology and I know that's bogus.
@CubeyCubed @renzniji @TJKhaled2001 @Touyarokii Says the gun into tank defender, yeah it was obvious with the beta sprites, now it's not and it's a biological mess, makes no sense why they kept this evolution-line the way it is now with no leftovers from what once was, only those that know the beta get it
THIS would make sense
@renzniji @CubeyCubed @TJKhaled2001 @Touyarokii Pokemon has mystical creatures such as dragons and unicorns but people think "common laws of biology" are a set in stone thing for the franchise. It gets tiring hearing people defend the fish evolving into the octopus by bringing up the beta forms, while sleeping on Clam into Eel
"He's gonna be a bipedal/quadrupedal crocodile, it's in THE NAME!!!"
"Actually, it would be pretty cool if he became the snake for the zodiac."
"NOOOO!!!! The zodiac pattern is disproven!!!!"
'Kay but what if we're all wrong and he becomes this?

@TheMadRegis @aelbrecht_ @constarlations Also gender classification wise, crocodiles are cows and bulls respectively, (like with whales, too) so they could keep the pattern alive, though not by design but by classification. A fire crocodile, whether bipedal or quadrupedal, would still, technically, count for the Ox slot
