@TalkingSuperman I've never understood the "he shouldn't be so strong" stance because one of the all-time greatest stories went out of its way to start off by amping his power levels just to prove a point about how inconsequential it is on story quality.

Castlevania still has the best Dracula portrayal in all of fiction. The look, the powerset, the backstory, all of it. Every other place I see Dracula, I'm let down that he's not as cool.

Kingdom Come. While not technically a Superman story, I think he's absolutely the protagonist and he represents the underlying message of the tale. It examines not just Superman's place in a changing world, but superhero comics in general. Skipping this one would be a big mistake
