A small postcard I painted. I followed a tutorial, to learn some things about leyering watercolours.

I need to be more brave with darker values. I fear them sometimes but they are necessary to add some suspense in your composition.

>10 years ago, i was gifted aquarell colours.
I was awestruck and so afraid to open up these precious little tubes. Eventually, I forgot them in the back of the shelf.

Now, I found them again and this is my first try.

A friend lives in the middle of nowhere w/o internet. So with potential Covid-19 quarantine hitting, I sent her a copy of UGLY AMERICANS s1 -but with alternate cover artwork.

I wanted the style to be an extreme opposite of the normal.
