'Preparing to Fly' A small oil from the John Clare series 'From an Ending to New Beginnings'

Studies for 'Spring Sap'. An image came to me of peoples biting branches and drinking sap. Some sipping from low branches, some perched high in the canopy. An optomistic painting-new beginnings, rebirth,a new dawn..I do worry about myself sometimes!
