#onthisday in 1797 Streeter's Mill was moved from from Belle Vue field (now Regency Square) in Brighton to the parish of Preston. It was hauled across 2 miles by 86 oxen. It was sited at the top of Dyke Road, a stone's throw from the Booth Museum.
