Hannah Arendt, a renowned political theorist of the 20th century, is famed for her works dealing with questions of freedom and nationalism, such as the 1951 ‘Origins of Totalitarianism’. As an open opponent of Nazism, Arendt was arrested by the Gestapo in 1933. #IWD2021
