Barnaby Joyce’s noxious influence over climate policy illustrates how Australia’s “democracy” is a shambles. Representatives of the Nationals & the LNP who collectively receive the support of less than 15% of Australians have been able to block climate action for a decade.

The Morrison govt has proposed a national integrity commission, but it's narrow and impotent and unlikely to be effective in exposing corruption. Its definitions are restrictive and its thresholds for investigation too high. Morrison's a master of political skulduggery.
