From the Pokédex, we know that Calyrex once saved the residents of a forest from a meteorite strike. However, a pedestal in the Crown Tundra also tells us that Calyrex feared to be approached by humans with open palms.
Was Calyrex attacked by that 'meteorite'?...
Despite outwardly appearing to have no shared traits whatsoever, both Toxtricity and Cramorant find some commonality in a bit of real-world trivia...
P.S. Pineco also shares the title of the 'Bagworm Pokémon', thus explaining why it's a Bug-type and not actually a pinecone. You can certainly see the resemblance with the second photo above.
Some Pokémon have real-world counterparts that are just as amazing as they are - if not more so. For example, the Burmy line is inspired by the fabulous bagworm moth caterpillar!
