Little collab with @maddyfairyqueen with Crag and Puff! Gotta love a man with some tummy 💙🧡💜

14) Eventually he learned that he could summon Blasters, but not the same functions as what Crunch or Stag had. Mortar shots have a long range and high accuracy.
(Crunch's blasters were extremely fast comparatively)
12) Crunch and Stag were both made to be background fodder characters to die. Both made in October 2016 :3
They were completely unrelated to each other.
11) Crag had no say on how they were reborn. They had both been promised their own bodies before they got blown into pieces. It was hard for Crunch and Stag to get in synch enough for Crag to function. (Their eyes are also not as settled in the kid body to show this)
9) Trying to exclusively use one of the other's magic leads to explosive results. Crunch's blaster jetpack isn't stable as when used by Crag. (Eventually he gets a better understanding and control. Still can't fly though)
7) Since his soul is unstable, it gradually pulls apart and becomes volatile without magic to burn through. He literally comes undone. His body splits between the halves, getting a second pair of arms.
The design has shifted, but the concept is the same.
This is still one of my favorite images of Crag, even if some small design notes got scrapped. This was his primary reference for a while :D
The very first drawing of what would be Crag was made June 20th 2017.
The first image with Crag having color was September 5th 2017. The blending of orange and blue gave the purple he's notable for!
Crag automatically dislikes anyone taller than him. The taller they are, the more of a jerk he'll be to them.
