Art Fight attack #2: Bunni for @Diddgery! I went for something more like a traditional sprite this time and decided to play with shading.

These are by @luvporbol of their character Molly (with an appearance by Nova!) - I saw a pizza stand at a festival with Molly's name on it and obviously that means this specific Molly has a pizzeria and it can't be a coincidence, resulting in an ongoing running joke.
Two pictures I got from @luvporbol - the first is Nova brushing a friend's character (Mendy Heart), and the other is another picture of Alex.
Here's a picture of Clover by https://t.co/rpq3yZnQmF! She looks a lot more bunnylike than in my own attempt and I like that. I hope it's clear that she's a bunicorn instead of just a rabbit with a horn, though! I deliberately tried to keep a lot of distinct bunicorn details.
Had another try at a pony version of Nova. The main problem I had before is that the white in her design is pretty integral, but it was hard to include it without things looking weird. But having a more natural horse pattern on the face seems to help?

Here's art of my character Rocket who is a skycecorn (which is a species @Diddgery made, and we collaborated on this character design) - Rocket is named for how they turn their species' gliding into flight through the use of Minecraft rockets.

Here's Maffi as a pony by @luvporbol and https://t.co/rpq3yZnQmF - obviously she had to keep her tail, which made me think I should keep other mouse traits to match. And of course her cutie mark is the Windows 3.1 Paint icon.
Here's how my vblank worst case looks after (left) and before (right) the changes I've made so far today. It kind of seems like if you need to make a bunch of separate changes to VRAM (as platformers may), that's just kind of unavoidably going to limit your bandwidth some amount.
A friend got a plush made of her character so I've been thinking about how Rosy would translate to one (even though I have several plush Rosy pics), and I commissioned @luvporbol to try drawing her that way. We couldn't figure out how to get pants to work.
Turns out it's really cool and fun to get art of your video game characters in situations from their games. Here's Nova by https://t.co/rpq3yZoocd using the bubble ability, which does in fact involve a huge bubble wand!
