They say Atlas carried the heavens
But it was more than just that
The universe and all its stars
Heavy with their celestial ambitions
And all too human hopes
Sat upon his shoulders
They made him the enduring giant
Whose heart never ran out

So, about those parallels. . .and those dire moments of universe-changing battles.
S2E13 vs S7E13
Watching Shiro go through these emotions and remembering what a survivor he is, how he never truly gives up - whether in pursuit of his dreams or against seemingly hopeless odds. But also, how he inspires others. I'm still just blown away by what an amazing character he is.
There is so much I don’t know
And yet, I know you
Maybe not each beginning
Certainly not every end
But I have seen the heart of you,
Scarred down and run through,
Beat despite firestorm and flood
When you look at me now
I see it still
And I know
"Love of mine, someday you will die
But I'll be close behind and I'll follow you into the dark
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight, waiting for the hint of a spark"
I just made myself so sad.
Worlds end, stars die
And in their wreckage, we find the beginnings of something new
That’s how I found you
#sheith
I think. . .I’ve always loved you
Just like how the earth knows its orbit
And the stars how to shine
And how cats always find the warmest patch in the house
You have always been part of me
I don’t want to know this world without you

He is Keith, and Shiro is still Shiro (even if he’s a mess of a man right now, and where others might have said monster, Keith only sees a soul fractured by the machinations of an empire that have been greater than them both but would not break them together).
