It’s my inspiration train for a webcomic I keep up. I do appreciate the work you folks do.
Hi #PortfolioDay, I’m Colin Campbell. Video game designer by day, but I started as an artist and still paint or draw most days. Lots of landscapes lately, but I also keep up a webcomic to practice storytelling.
Last group, I think. This one includes a watercolor of the wood-fire stove I cooked on during the trip, which was a blast and also highly unpractical with two toddlers.
I also often do several paintings of the same scene or subject if I’m in a place for a few days. In this case, it was also near where my boys were playing, so it was nice to be around them while I worked.
It’s nice to find out how I interpret things differently each time.
With two little boys there’s a lot less time to paint on trips than usual, but I still managed a couple handfuls (I paint small and fast pretty often).
