In my mind I know how the Looney Tunes characters are supposed to look, but something gets lost in translation whenever I try drawing them from memory, and I wind up creating weird monstrosities like these.

The Beautiful Day Monster is one of my favorite Muppets. He made a bunch of appearances early on in Sesame Street, mainly just being a jerk to the other characters.

Well, this morning I wondered what it'd be like if he'd stuck around long enough to meet Elmo...

Most of the missing Garfield quickie segments have surfaced since I starting hunting for them, but the Show 27 quickie "Balloons" is one that remains at large.

Since there's no copy available, I can only guess... but this may be the strip it was based on.

For some reason I had the urge to draw a really bad Mario.

There's a reason animation as an art has continued to grow and thrive in the 21st century... because people love it! To dismiss the art as "just for kids" not only denies the existence of cartoons specifically made with adults in mind...

I'll always firmly assert that animation is *not* a genre. Just like live action, it's an art medium used for storytelling. You can have a comedic animation, or a dramatic animation... but you can't have an animated animation. That's just silly... and redundant.

I finally managed to draw something that scared ME.

Dropping safes on Henry *is* pretty fun... but I guess I like drawing him too.
