Imagine this as a Superman movie poster. People would lose their shit if an actually scary villain was in a Superman movie. No more Lex and Zod. Its time to introduce Parasite to the world.
People will often say Superman is boring cause he is too powerful. I am sorry but my boy gets his ass beat on the regular. Its wild how many cool stories you can tell when you move away from Kryptonite and Lex Luthor.
"Whatever happened to the Man of Tommorow" is a story by Alan Moore and it serves as the final Superman story. To me its a perfect ending. This hero who saved the universe a million times, is now just a husband and dad who likes to chill with his family.
If Henry Cavill is holding up production on a Superman movie, its time to move on. He is not bigger than the character. General audiences dont even care about his take. WB you literally have a template with The Batman. Start fresh and do it soon.
People who hate inclusivity in comicbook stories are not real fans and their opinions dont matter. The fact that someone out there is now going to feel included and see themselves represented is something that should be celebrated. Its not "woke" its just whats right.
Making Superman a perfect symbol who only smiles is not the way to go. He is not that in the comics. He is also not Batman who can fly and is depressed and mute all the time. There needs to be a balance and again its all in the comics, just read them.
@jayjjalen A small intimate movie with him as Superman would be perfection. I need this scene with Cavill.
