Let's have some more positivity. My cover for Transformers #34 drops next week (I believe), and I think it's my favourite one to date. So here's a breakdown of my process.
Left: Final colours, done in Procreate on iPad Pro
Right: Lineart, inked traditionally on bristol board
Threw some colours on @/DavidCousens’s fantastic Rhinox inks!
Been chipping away at this here and there during breaks from other work and commissions. Might’ve went in a lil too hard with the textures but I love the energy in the fluidity of David’s lines. Had lots of fun.
Right now—mostly because I can't show anything from what I think will be the highlight of my career so far—is this cover for IDW's Transformers: Beast Wars book, and the whole going from fan-artist to an artist working on officially licensed and published material! https://t.co/oAjQV9PYKr
Starveng—I mean…
GETTER DRAGON!
Got Getter Robo on the mind after watching a retrospective video essay on Ken Ishikawa’s magnum opus.
Cheers @DavidCousens & @Jamesotron for the tag. Let’s keep it going!

SCIONS OF ERDRICK
A small but fun piece that I took a tad too far; inspired by my recent play through and completion of Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line.
All aboard the art train choo choo!
Haven’t jumped on in a while but I guess I should this time, even if I’ve not got much new to show. Here’s some recent-ish Beast Wars stuff!

“GEOMX Unit 01: O-Rounder, leader and all-round fighter.”
Redraw of a concept from 2015. Wish I had more time this month to draw the rest of the Geomechs team… Might still do so when I can.
It’s interesting to see his my style has evolved over the years.
