Not only is he NOT abusive towards Jolyne, but his absence was mostly in part to him not wanting to rope his family into DIO's mess

Also, he's not evil just because he called his mom a bitch, especially since he went on a 50 day life-endangering journey for her

One thing about Jotaro I love is that he really understands what it means to be a Joestar. He understands the will of the Joestar family, the gifts and curses of it, and the legacy of his family
