A painting I did in my juvenile days in Oz, which symbolises how I feel about the state of things in the UK now: an empty row boat in turbulent waters, surrounded by rocks, a chilling landscape, precipice close by, one oar completely adrift. (Click on photo to see all of it).

@AlisonFisk @Rachel5742 Wonderful. What a great way of bringing the past into the present. I loved visiting Vindolanda many years ago and bought a cook book of recipes they'd deduced from their excavations. Their version of baked egg custard is something I make frequently.
