Same principles apply to different coloring techniques, for this one I had a semi cell-shading style, notice how depth detection works a LOT better with well defined blocks of color. I'd spend more time on the parts where the light doesn't have a big effecting area.
For instance, notice how the light travels as a single line, this is due to the way I evenly distributed the value of the shading as if it were a 2D plane rather than taking into account the vertical displacement of the light. Also, look at those abs wowaweewa indeed.
