If you live near a Wal-Mart, check out their toy section -- just found a huge stack of these Batcaves on clearance for $40 each (regularly $100). Couldn't pass it up. Only drawback is they are scaled to 4" figures, which are hard to find, and it only comes with one (Batman).
This cover has an early EC Comics shock/horror kind of vibe. I'm a little surprised it made it past the Comics Code folks...it's SECRETS OF HAUNTED HOUSE #18 (1979)! Art by Luis Dominguez.
DC's SECRETS OF HAUNTED HOUSE had some of the best opening splash pages of any comic around...Destiny was an interesting character & framing device -- part traditional horror comic host, part cosmic avatar like The Watcher or Dr. Strange.
For your Saturday -- a quad-box of crazy SECRETS OF HAUNTED HOUSE covers!
Double trouble! Joe Orlando (who was managing editor of SECRETS OF HAUNTED HOUSE) also drew this amazing cover for issue #20 (January 1980)!
"Lady, that's my eye..." Luis Dominguez puts together a sight for sore eyes (sorry) with the cover to SECRETS OF HAUNTED HOUSE #19 (1979)!!
