Nice throwback cover from Mike Kaluta for HOUSE OF MYSTERY #318 (1983). It has a vaguely 20s/30s commercial illustration feel to me, but I can't quite pinpoint it. Also reminds me of Dave Stevens' work.
In the memorable last issue of HOUSE OF MYSTERY (#321, 1982), DC broke the fourth wall. Real-life editor Karen Berger and exec Joe Orlando appeared to tell Cain he was actually just a comic character -- and he was getting cancelled.
