As a boy growing up in Laupheim, Germany, Carl Laemmle loved reading Buffalo Bill stories and could only dream of meeting him. When Carl later ran Universal, he made movies about Buffalo Bill and invited him to the Grand Opening of Universal City in 1915. Dreams do come true.
