Hammer's Secret Sauce: Posters to rouse even the doziest of distributors & liven up the lobbies to catch the fancy of punters everywhere. And deliver a cracker. Peter Sasdy's Hands of the Ripper (1971) is a very solid if a bit gory late Hammer effort. With great poster art🗡️
Barbarella (1968) is a who's-who of Euro pop cool. Sorta directed by Vadim #BOTD & starring his then-wife Jane Fonda. Shot by Claude Renoir; Terry Southern penned the 1st draft. Hipster OST by Bob Crewe et al. Legendary Bob McGuiness poster art. Beaucoup de plaisir excessif.
I was about to watch Motherless Brooklyn out of morbid curiosity, but then...@MoviesTVNetwork saved me!
Babbel aime Hammer! (When poster art ruled the earth...)
Four lovely foreign posters no well appointed comfort cave should be without...
I'd forgotten just how good (and scary, for a kid) this was...
Fantastic Voyage (1966)
