Okay, I have a new interpretation of Age of X-Man that I actually find kind of interesting.

Lines like these lead me to believe that the subtext of the story is a meta-narrative about writers implementing retcons and how readers and the characters themselves feel about that.

On a serious note the Superior Iron Man era was a fun read. It was the fallout from Axis an event where a bunch of Marvel characters had their morality inverted.
It was a silly idea (people hated it lol) but I love silly ideas like that. Tony was one of the few who stay inverted.

9 issues? Wow what a short period in this character’s very long publication history 😂

I wonder if it will be referenced frequently in other media for some reason 🤔

@AllFatherMedia I wish Marvel and DC communicated with each other the way they did back in the day. Stuff like this would be so dope to see in the modern day!
Plus I bet it'd be a net positive for both companies. We can dream.

One of my favorite examples of this was when people criticized Mandy from "I am NOTE Starfire" for being rude to her mom and having a bad attitude when her arcing into a more respectful kid WAS the story.

Finally reaching the end of the Age of X-Man event and it’s one of the strangest comics I’ve ever read. I just have no idea what message they’re going for. Maybe there isn’t a message but then why do they tease the reader with one?
I’ll have more thoughts when I’m done.
