This one is pretty obscure and I will be surprised if anyone has memories of it. From 1978 - 1981 right by my house was a super cool skatepark, The BIG "O". Problem was I was 4yo when it shut down, but the logo lives rent free in my head @CityOfOrangeCA https://t.co/0FkPHbjXrx
@MyChildhoodDis Henry should always be an Ambassador to the Magic Kingdom. I do what I can.
One of the most fun projects I've ever worked on. I have a serious itch to do more of these mascots for other schools. We even made a comic book for them. Cover art by the great Keith Batcheller, who made a bunch of Disney VHS covers in the 90s.
I’m having a hard time believing that today is the 25th anniversary of Hercules. I’m so glad all this time later it’s getting the love it deserves. Here are some throwbacks to one of my WonderGround paintings featuring the Muses. The constellations up top are of Pegasus and Herc https://t.co/pa94DOtaUs
I wanna see a big thick coffee table art book commemorating 10 Years of WonderGround Gallery.
@ShaeJHarding Thank you! Oooh that is tough. Prob a tie between two. The Muses concept I sketched in the 90s as a parade float I was imagining. Glad the idea was finally used somehow. And Carousel of Progress bc it goes back to Walt’s days.
Then in 2021 I premiered 4 more pieces at the EPCOT Festival of Arts WonderGround tent. Only paint what you love.
