Something funny is that I keep drawing Marie and Soleil, but they don’t meet until ~4 books into a series, lmao

I love Soleil’s design, but I wonder if it’s a bit too… “spicy”, haha

Her story is really good, it’s been a big motivation to improve the earlier stories.

Conceptually, I have the idea for around 10 books (~5 series) I want to get to.

Taking the year off to do some research and try and get the first one done (first two pictures)

Personally, I think the story is very strong, just gotta tie a couple of loose ends.

@slammo12 I like Procreate. It’s super cheap, just $10 one time.

The Apple Pencil is pretty nice and convenient, but pricy ($100-120)

Been painting a year on it, not super good yet but I like the flow of it

I thought it was a sequel to Whisper of the Heart, one of my favorite animated movies ever…but it has nothing to do with it!

Monolith Soft was hiring for a big project before XC2 released. Do we think that was cancelled?

Hard to imagine that MS was able to work on Splatoon 3, XC2, XC Torna, XCDE+Future connected, Animal Crossing, and BOTW 2 while having a secret massive project hidden for 5 years

@BombosMedallion It’s kind of a Kate Bishop/miles morales type of deal. Which is probably weird to do when I haven’t finished the original story.

These guys, at least, are from book 1 in their own trilogy, haha

@MrSpaceHeater Same boat! Used to be pretty good back in high school but I fully dropped it shortly after.

Having to relearn is a long process, but I’m happy with where I am after a year
