Brown and green pikmin! They can float but they can’t swim. Brown pikmin are blast resistant, green pikmin can be carried by a strong breeze! Green pikmin live in an arctic tundra and use the fuzz to keep frost away, like a lot of tundra plants do.

Orange pikmin live in the desert and sprint across the sand with their large feet. They use their spiny bodies for attacking enemies. Not a new concept, but one that I think could work well.
