Well, it's already the middle of the year. Here are my Top 4 games of 2022 so far (in no order):
Horizon Forbidden West
TMNT: Shredder's Revenge
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Nobody Saves the World
Incredible games. ✌️
A few hours into Shantae: Half-Genie Hero and I'm kinda disappointed that dungeons have been removed completely. The game feels more linear since levels are broken up into platforming sections with a boss at the end. It hits different than past games. Still, it's a great game. ✌️
As much as I miss turn-based combat in Final Fantasy games, I'm excited to see what FFXVI has in store in terms of gameplay. Clive will have an "enormous" skill tree and he appears to be the only playable character. I'm guessing we'll have guest characters of some sort, maybe.
I've always loved floating areas in classic JRPGs. They usually present a challenge to reach and are important places. Some of my favorites:
