#4styles Oil on wood, acrylic on glass, gouache, oil on canvas. I feel like I am just now making my range of brushstrokes noticeable. There is a degree of how loose or how tight I paint. But perhaps that’s all in my head and I wanted to be included. 🥺
Now that my Luna series is completed, and Dorian stopped threatening my home, I’m itching to play with gouache. Here is a little painting of a hand holding a nopal leaf. 🌵
“obscuredmoon” is of @ obscuredminds (IG) who strives to speak her voice, which parallels with mine. She shares and protects her culture with her art, something I always find amazing. Check her out, she’s a dope person. 💙 Thank you for letting me paint you, hermosa!
“Moonlit” Simone is perhaps the oldest friend I have, one of the VERY few I talk to from high school. 😂 Of course I had to paint her. She’s so patient and kind, it’s kind of unreal. I had tons of fun painting you, love you much! 💙
@blastkat @sunflower_c8e @sunsetquickk @edgethesketch Ahhh, thank you! I love faces, it’s my favorite to paint. I use oil on wood or canvas. 🥰🥰🥰
“Moon Strong” is of @naturechola She is all about traveling, seeing her visit all these amazing places certainly inspires me to plan for future trips. Women traveling is important, and I am happy to see them do so!
@tiarasimoneee Hello! I oil paint in the themes of culture, feminism, and mental health. 💙
Another gouache practice. It is a reminder that not all paintings will be successful but I like the idea of a series of adorned ears. I want to get better at ears, because it feels like a chore when I paint them. So I’m curious about exploring more about them 😁
