It's #InternationalDogDay so we couldn't resist sharing these lovely illustrations of Sheepdogs by B.F Greig from the March 1926 edition of The Greyfriar.
#OnThisDay in 1872 was the birth of former pupil Max Beerbohm - famous parodist and caricaturist.
Even when he was at school nobody was safe from his unique style.
Here are his sketches of some of the teachers at the time.

What a perfect summer activity! But you certainly would need some good weather to head out sailing.
This drawing from The Greyfriar shows sailing at its best.

As the world's leaders head to Cornwall for the G7 summit, it seems a perfect opportunity to share some items relating to the County.
First up is this charming illustration of St Michael's Mount from the 1906 edition of 'The Greyfriar'.

Today is World Bee Day!
An important part of the ecosystem that need all our help to survive and thrive.
In their honour we share this illustration by J. Freeman.
(Although let's hope they don't ever get that large!)

A mode of transport that some pupils have been using for years to get across campus.

We have all sorts of items in our collections, but some of the most interesting, are a collection of drawings by former pupil John Leech.
