So this is why transformations are NEEDED, and why they work better from a writing narrative
Cuz it's something that like say Goku and Vegeta can't copy because they'd have to be humans in order to do it and something that could even make hybrids even more unique by combining.
Everybody's been annoyed for years that nobody besides Goku has learned that technique, so writing it that they somehow learn this but Goku or Vegeta doesn't or can't, is just as bad.
That's why they need their own transformation
+
Just learning that himself and then returning everything back to the status quo. And to have it where he or somebody else doesn't try to learn the technique so it'll still unique to them is bad lazy writing
Already have an example of that called kaioken

The reason why humans need a transformation in the story of Dragon Ball is because it's something that can't be stolen from them.
If you just give the humans an awesome technique that allows them to go on par with a Super Saiyan then there's nothing to stop say Goku from

Why humans NEED a transformation:
I've seen some people that are under the impression that humans don't need a transformation to not be like the Saiyans
But at the same time they still want them to learn some kind of op technique or power boost.
Here's why that's not the case

One of the biggest misconceptions in Dragon Ball is that Goku forgot to take his heart medicine, something that's been spread a lot by what ifers lately.
Goku didn't take the medicine because he never got sick when he was supposed to, told him to take it when symptoms appear

@SaiyanScholarGT It would be cool if humans could get their own transformation wouldn't it?
