Basil Wolverton's Spacehawk has the greatest character designs. Has there ever been a line of Spacehawk action figures? They would be incredible. A cartoon series would be nice too...
The Jon J Muth art on these Havok and Wolverine Meltdown covers is obviously fantastic. But I'm even more impressed by how cool the layout/cover design is. The logo is so striking and each one of these issues look like a movie poster for a radically strange action film.
Marvel should just pay Mike del Mundo to draw as many covers as humanly possible. Like they did with Gil Kane in the 70s. These four gems are from the 2014 Elektra series.
Avengers A.I. had some of the absolute coolest variant covers that I've ever seen. I love all of these but I think my favorite is that Paul Duffield cover with the stacked faces and the brilliantly reoriented logo.
Marvel continuity is so fun. Last week I read Shuma-Gorath's first appearance in the Doctor Strange issues of Marvel Premier. Today, I was reading I Am Groot (aprox. 40-year gap in date of publish) and guess who pops up? I Am Groot is incredible by the way, highly recommended.
