Fable needs a "modern take"... why? It's TIMELESS.

You could get gay married, the Hero of Might was a plus sized woman, the Hero of Will was a black man, the 3rd game was literally helping the poor and stopping colonisation... THAT Fable needs the "modern audience" treatment?

It's a game about a literal faceless MC called Anon and yet he has an actual character somehow.

The game is littered with in-jokes that range from a tiny bit forced to seamlessly woven into the story. Doesn't become cringe.
