Oh! There's also a bone for nose-direction which may seem silly at first, but it helps maintain the 2d look from the front!

I also added some bones in the legs to "correct" some of the warping!

Turns out stuff like this is SUPER EASY to add in after the basic-rig is complete, so that's a lot of stress relieved!

Got a little daring and added some bones for the eyes and eyebrows!

Basic rig is set up now! I even did some minor eye-rigging.

I'm not 100% satisfied with this setup and parts of the mode/, and there's still a lot of weight painting and stuff I could fix, but... Progress!! I'm learning and figuring things out and less afraid to experiment.

Oh... they do look like chestnuts...
