ok so Thallium is a priest of Ihir (yes, *that* Ihir) who lives at the temple. irl thallium is highly toxic so I was like "ah yes, a recluse"

Rubidium is the groundskeeper and spends her evenings guarding the temple gate. her hair colours are based on Rb's emission lines

this project was super researched btw, the periodic table was my special interest. atomic weight ∝ how "close" they are to royalty

SPEAKING OF WHICH. Ruthenium (Rf's sister, Ti's employee/ward/something) was the first fictional girl I crushed on & was aware of it. I remember the moment. I was sorting them by how attractive I found them & she was near the top & I was like ????

but boooy I have never put more effort into a singular creative work in my life, than I did with this. every panel is painted and my overarching vision was to set the character interactions against sweeping ocean vistas, each defined by their lighting.
