Some things from a WIP reference for my gf’s fursona

A big, fluffy guy with a big heart to match. He seems to like collecting vibrant feathers (especially if they match his eyes). Perhaps it’s the feeling of freedom that comes with the idea of flight... or maybe they’re just quite nice to look at.

Long horns, short temper. Shorter body. Figuring out how to best render the markings of my charr in my style. I quite like how this looks.

Painting Practice! I’m slowly getting to the point where I don’t have to think so much about what I’m doing when painting on 1 layer.

Sleepy child. This is 1/2 of a trade that went a bit wacky.

Finished! It came out alright. Kept it all to 1 layer. Definitely not in love with the colours, but at the very least it looks a little bit better than I expected it to. My hand is still being weird with pressure, but at least painting helped to loosen it up a bit.
