@davidcinema Blade Runner without a doubt...
Yes, back in the day (1982) Blade Runner became a "Studio" Cult Classic after its lackluster opening. It was never what the newbie's always thought was a hit, but far, from it...
Fun fact for tonight's screening-
Do you know who directed The Last Starfighter???
You may not recognize his name but I assure you've seen him on the big screen in another classic!
Nick Castle-writer, director...and the one and only (real) Michael Myers!!!
With tonights double feature and burgers coming I can't help but think of the possibilities for a Last Starfighter prequel, reboot, sequel!
I've discovered these "what if..." awesome conceptual layouts! Maybe someday we'll once again fly in a Gunstar!
I've always liked these photographs of Aleksy Galushkov, known for his retro-styled imagery, here he's recreated the tone from James Whale's early 1935's Bride of Frankenstein. Beautifully conceived with an edge of erotism to the Bride who doesn't want to do as she's told.
IF YOU FORGOT WHAT TERROR WAS LIKE...IT'S BACK.
See what you missed the first time...after you closed your eyes. #Jaws #IMAX #StevenSpielberg
@TheBMovieVault @retroscifiart Cinefantastique, Volume 8/Number 2, Cover Artwork by Vincent DiFate-I have it in my studio collection.
Fans of Forbidden Planet, this issue is we’ll worth seeking out!
Tonight my oldest boy and I took off at the IMAX theater for TOP GUN: Maverick. Total praise for Tom Cruise and his cast. An exceptionally well crafted PERFECT sequel to Tony Scott's original. Gave me chills reliving the opening credit scene-like a time machine!
