It's not as clean wanted initially but I'm more glad to push it out of the way. I'm going to play around with the armour a bit more but I'm liking the way most of it looks, for now at least.
For all my elite bros, he has no name as of yet.

Chief already started a fight with an old fanged alien adversary who had an eye injury and I'm a lot more invested in seeing that battle finished, bring him back.

Was grabbing reference for some quick Didact sketches I'm hoping to do tonight and rediscovered the escalation cover art and it hit me like a brick. Just thinking back to how much excitement crawled through me as I counted down the days for that comic to release.

In "The Return" there's straight-up two pngs of H2 honour guards, normally I don't care about this stuff because it's far from rare, but I've seen those pictures so many times it took me right out of the moment. (can't find carbine man uncropped)

@OldboiDr It's also worth noting (Something I forgot to) that the H5 zealot lacks the circled armour with the mandible armour sitting closer together at the tips and appears to merge this the centre structure as possed to having the grey section.

I know that it's far from a popular opinion but I like the 343 Elites and think it could be cool if they got a playable send-off. Maybe it could even be used as an excuse to add the Mk 6 MOD to a multiplayer.

@Halo you set a standard for using Reach concept art when making the Halo Infinite elites, if you add these two in multiplayer with playable elites, I'll willingly bend my knees and fork out whatever they cost in microtransactions.
