no weekly clay sculpts recent, been busy, haven't been home. But I do have my computer and am working on a certified Cleb Elite redesign. Excited to push it further next weekend, and maybe even start sketching some armour ideas. Head sketch is attached as well for the interested.
I finished my reread of Silentium last week. In a single word, wonderous. This reread of the Forerunner saga has done wonders to help remind me of exactly what I loved about Halo from 2009ish to 2014ish, an era of excitement and wonder that I sorely miss.
(2/3) I look at a drip like this and think 4 things. 1. Damn that looks sick.
2. Glad I didn't waste $30 AUD on ZVEZDA cause this looks way better.
3. How much will they charge for it.
4. Wish I could use it on the Mk7 core, I like its back height more.
@Callado300 Unfortunately, once you've cultivated a following who get primed for a "specific" type/theme of content it becomes impossible to branch out. Easy to digest content that is familiar is more likely to get "approval" from the follow and shared than content that, isn't.
@BenisSurvivor @scifi_fan_kat I don't like this design much myself, but it's a stronger visual (IMO) over the final design because it pushes it in that human Esque direction more, instead of adding in more exotic shapes to push towards the alien direction.
It feels like Ripa was the template for these Elites. Which is a choice I agree with, a lot. And for the most part, it's paid off, but looking at the ways Ripa is proportioned brings out the (IMO) mistakes of the showtime ones.
The armour photo bash is finished. I'm quite pleased with it. It's not precisely what I want for their get up, but the style of "1940s car on legs" is shaping up and it's been good practice for when start designing suits properly. I'm not sure about colour schemes yet.
With the Halo TV show on the very near horizon, I'll take one moment out of my day to top tier art that's crawled out for the Neil Blomkamp film over the years. What could have been.
I used to not like the Elite, but I came to understand that's it's in fact, one of the best.
